So, as I am sitting here thinking about what I have to get done this week I am already going crazy! I have 40 bridal shower "gifts" to make for a bridal shower on friday. I am going to make chocolate candies that are wedding cakes with the colors of the wedding on the cakes. Each guest will get a little bag with a chocolate cake and some chocolate bells.
I have to keep working on my flash class. It is really hard and it takes a long time to complete each assignment. This has been the hardest class I've done so far!
I have a dentist appointment tomorrow at 4pm so I have to leave school RIGHT AWAY! We have a required staff meeting on Wednesday for an hour after school and I have 2 PPTs this week which means I have two days with no planning period this week. I also have to make a batch of my famous Italian cookies for the bridal shower on Friday.
I am in charge of a large field trip for all of the fifth and sixth grade students this Friday to go see Disney's Oceans. This has been a stressful and crazy thing to organize! 300 students and 40 staff members! We are also stopping for lunch at a fast food restaurant. (Each bus is stopping at a different one!)
And....I'm suppose to have time for me and my boyfriend at some point this week....AHHH!

Mothers Day
Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there! I am not a mother yet, but hope to be at some point!
I spent the day with my mom and her side of the family. (4 brothers and sisters, my grandmother and cousins) It was nice to get together with everyone and see how everyone is doing. My family is NOT the "tight-knit" family and sometimes we only see each other on the holidays.
It is interesting how many "holidays" we have to celebrate the people in our life and in our jobs!

End of the Year
The end of a school year is always a fun and CRAZY time! I enjoy finishing off the year because it means I can let one group of students move on and get to know a new group of students. But, you always have the CRAZY busy things that occur at the end of each year.
I got "voted" to put together the end of the year field trip to Ron-A-Roll and I am planning a trip to see Disney's Oceans. Planning field trips make me feel like I am signing a mortgage for a house. There is so much you have to go over and get cleared through so many different people!
I also am concerned because due to budget cuts, we are down one teacher next year. Our class sizes are going from 15 to 20 or 21. That is going to be a major change in planning, management and just the amount of people in one room. Our superintendent is also leaving, so many of us are stressed about what may occur next year. Who knows...gotta live day by day I guess!

Life...
What can I say? Things always get crazy! I'm at home trying to finish up some work for class and correcting papers when the weather is 90 degrees outside! I should be hanging out outside!
I am in the process of looking for a summer job since Bloomfield has cut our summer school. Hopefully I can find something so that I will be able to afford finishing my masters degree. I plan to work a few hours at the grocery story that I have worked at since I was 16.
Not much else going on right now....back to work!
